Can you believe it’s already Labor Day weekend? With summer coming to a close and school lingering just around the corner, let’s make the most of this long weekend, shall we?

I can’t think of a better way to pay homage to the sweet heat of summer than with good people, tasty food and a fun, fruity drink! So, grab your friends, family and/or neighbors, fire up the grill and follow our easy to follow recipe below to mix yourself up a tasty Watermelon Mint Moscow Mule.

You don’t need a lot to make this recipe great which we love. After all, less time mixing means more time mingling. So let’s gather our ingredients and get started!

Ingredients (Per Glass):

  • 4-5 chunks of fresh, seedless watermelon
  • 2-3 fresh mint leaves
  • Juice from half of a lime
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 shot vodka*
  • 1 cup ginger beer*
  • Fresh watermelon, lime wedge and mint for skewers/garnish
  • *Omit the vodka and swap out the ginger beer for ginger ale to create as a mocktail.

Begin by muddling the watermelon, sugar and mint in the bottom of a Moscow Mule glass, then add in the vodka and lime juice. Next, add in the ice cubes and top the liquid mixture off with a can or bottle of ginger beer. Give it a good stir and garnish it with a skewer full of watermelon, lime wedges and mint.
